Mr Binz is proud to be a good corporate citizen in our local community.

We are an associate member of the Muriwai Surf Lifesaving Club, and are behind their efforts to develop their new club rooms and community facilities.

Mr Binz is proud to support Corey Bertelson of Muriwai in his quest for the 250cc non-fairing class land speed record at Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah, United States. In August 2010 Corey was successful in achieving this with a new world land speed record of 139.388 mph. Congratulations Corey!

We are also pleased to support 14-year-old BIlly Graham, a member of the Auckland Speedway Riders' Club, competing in the junior section riding a 200cc solo motorbike. Billy competed at 19 meetings this season racing at Rosebank Rd and Kihikihi. Next season he steps up to the 500cc class.

We are also proud supporters of the Kumeu-Huapai Volunteer Fire Brigade, which Mr Binz owner Stephen Sparnon joined in 2001, qualifying first as a fire fighter, then pump operator, senior fire fighter and currently deputy chief fire officer.

The brigade train every Monday evening, and competing in fire fighter competitions and the Sky Tower stair climbs to add a touch of fun to the more serious side their work as a volunteer fire brigade.
